On Saturday, May 14, from 9:00 to 4:00,
we will have the opportunity of clearing brush and removing junk and
garbage from both sides of a creek as part of the Ferry Creek
Restoration project in Warrenville. Ferry Creek feeds a wonderful
restoration project that is well underway called the Johnson School
Wetlands, which includes open water and emergent wetlands and
prairie. Getting the creek cleared will make way for proper
shoreline plants that will result in cleaner water for the wetland!
Please meet at the parking lot behind
Johnson School in Warrenville promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Please bring pruning shears and pruning
saws IF YOU HAVE THEM. There will be some tools available. Dads,
we WILL be allowed to bring and use CHAIN SAWS!!!!!
Bring your own snacks and water. Mr.
Pfeifer will be providing pizza from a local place for lunch.
Dress in layers for the weather.
