The Boy Scouts of Troop 34 Remember
Staff
Sgt. Robert Miller
who was killed on January 25, 2008 while serving in Afghanistan.
Robby was a member of Troop 34 from 1994 to 2001.

There will be a special
dedication ceremony to honor Rob and all St. Michael parishioners and school
alumni who have, or are now serving in the military. The new plaza on the corner of
Willow Street & Wheaton Avenue will be named in honor of SSG Robert J. "Robby"
Miller. The dedication ceremonies will take place on
Friday, May 23rd beginning with
Mass at 8:00am at St. Michael Church to be followed with a procession to the plaza and dedication
ceremonies.
Current Scouts and all
Scout alumni, you are invited to attend the memorial Mass and
dedication ceremony. A place has been reserved for you.
Please join us for this very special rememberance.
All scouts attending are encouraged (but
not required) to wear their uniforms. |

Weekly Troop Meetings:

During the school year, Weekly
Troop Meetings are held in the lower level of St.
Michael's School on Tuesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

During the summer, Weekly Troop
Meetings are on Tuesdays at Seven Gables Park at Picnic Area #3
(Located at the south side of the park off of Winner's Cup
Circle) from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.

For summer meetings and summer camp,
scouts use a Class B uniform which consists of a Troop 34 T-Shirt.

Patrol Leaders Conferences (PLCs) are held
on the 1st Sunday of every month at 4:00 PM
(unless informed otherwise) at
Mr. Pfeifer's home. All Leadership and
high school scouts are expected to attend. Any changes will be announced
by the SPL @ Weekly Meetings.
Adult Committees Meetings are held
on the 1st Sunday of every month at 7:00 PM. All adult leadership and parents are welcome to
attend. Contact

encourage all parents to participate in Troop activities. Troop 34 has
many ways for you to get involved. Please consider becoming a member of
the Troop committee, becoming involved in Troop Meetings, accompanying the Troop
on a weekend campout, or using your talents in a variety of ways for
formal/informal tasks upon request. What we can accomplish as a Troop and
for our Scouts is up to us. We are all volunteers, supporting our sons and the
community in which we live.
Adult help is always needed and appreciated.
